Our preschool bugs & insects unit theme is perfect for that. I loved going outside and letting the children play in the dirt to see what they find. I also love watching them chase butterflies is so much fun.

There are so many great books about bugs & insects for kids to choose from! As a result, I always try to include both fiction and non-fiction books. Cartoon pictures of bugs and insects are cute but nothing beats real life images.
